As millions continue to flee the crisis in Ukraine, it is clear that we need bold commitments and promising solutions, not only from governments and NGOs, but also from the private sector. Google’s long-standing partnership with IRC and their support of the Signpost project is an example of the bold and innovative thinking we need. By using signpost technologies and resources, broadening the scope of the United Ukraine platform, providing legal services and housing etc. to IDPs. We will provide important information on the issues.
– says IRC President and CEO David Miliband

Rowan Barnett, head of EMEA at Google.org, said:Providing access to reliable information and connecting IDPs fleeing the war in Ukraine to critical services is critical. We are proud to have a team of 13 Google.org employees who have joined the IRC Signpost team over the past six weeks to build this platform. These professionals will be working unpaid for six months to help magnify this vital effort.”

In the months ahead, the private sector and aid organizations will continue to work together to create a meaningful response to the effects of the war in Ukraine. As Signpost continues to expand worldwide, current emergency solutions will also remain in the toolkit for future crisis response measures.

Inspired by the unprecedented spirit and strength of our community, we plan to never stop. As soon as the war is over, we will direct this force to rebuild Ukraine and build a modern pillar of democracy and economy.
