Pilot Alper Gezeravcı would be the first Turk to go into space, thus breaking new ground for Turkey. The Ax-3 mission, in which Gezeravcı will take part, would normally be carried out this evening at 1:11 a.m. Turkish Lira in the US state of Florida.
However, in recent minutes a statement came from SpaceX and Axiom Space, which will host the mission. The statement announced that the mission was postponed.
The mission will take place on Thursday, January 18
According to SpaceX’s statement, the Ax-3 mission, which will be launched on Falcon 9, will not take place before Thursday, January 18. This means that the task is postponed until tomorrow. The company says the extra time will give teams time to conduct pre-launch vehicle checks and data analysis.
Now for launch, according to SpaceX night between Thursday and Friday at 00:49 CEST is focused.
