Netflix announced a new subscription plan in Brazil, it’s an alternative the cheapest than the three options already available on the platform. The most economical plan called “Basic with ads“, will cost BRL 18.90 per month and will be available from November 3rd. As the name suggests, ads will be placed on the platform.

The company revealed the details of the implementation of the new subscription on its official page. According to Netflix, the average will be 4-5 minutes of advertising per hour. When launched, ads will be 15 or 30 seconds long and will run before and during TV shows and movies. This practice is already taking place on other services such as YouTube.

Other features of the Basic with Ads plan include:
