However, some of the claims that circulated on social media during this process claimed the opposite.

Is this rumor true? We consulted a doctor.

This statement does not correspond to the truth: giving water orally to the person recovered from the wreck does not carry a fatal risk.

The doctor we consulted asked us to have a medical team next to a disaster survivor who had already been pulled out from under the rubble and He told me serum should be put in immediately.

He himself expresses the importance of wearing serum as follows: “Our teachers used to tell us that as soon as you see the earthquake victim’s hand, apply serum without even waiting for it to come out of the rubble.”

However, if there is no medical team around the victim at the time of removal and If the serum cannot be inserted, He argues that water can be given orally with a profit-loss account, and that it carries no immediate risk of death.

So why is it so important to urgently apply serum to earthquake victims?

Our doctor explained the importance of using the serum as follows:

“The digestive system and the urinary system work It is inconvenient to water the victim without confirming, Only serum should be given. If, after checking in the hospital, it is determined that there is no problem with these systems, water can be given. Otherwise, water or food can put a strain on the body and increase the problems.”
