Hold your nose up, Lamborghini: sales of used luxury cars skyrocketed in Russia

The rich also cry. And especially now – after the West lowered the “Iron Curtain”, which, among other things, blocked the supply channels for decent cars to Russia. It is understandable, because a rare “bump” is ready to turn from Bentley to “Chinese”. However, there are alternatives – the same secondary market of “luxury”, which grew 34% in May.

Wealthy Russians bought 216 used luxury cars last month, according to the Avtostat agency. And in May 2022, only 73 cars were sold for comparison. And this, I must say, is a very good, almost pre-crisis result of the “luxury” segment.

Which specific brands forced compatriots to unbutton their tight wallets? Bentley cars were most in demand in the “secondary market”, with a production run of 94 units. Maserati attracted 45 buyers, and Rolls-Royce – 40. In addition, our compatriots bought 18 Lamborghini sports cars, 13 Ferraris and 6 Aston Martins in May.

As for the models, the Bentley Continental GT (54 units) is on the first line of the ranking of the most popular luxury used cars, the Maserati Levante is on the second (22 units), on the third is the Bentley Continental Flying Spur (17 pieces). The TOP-5 also included Bentley Bentayga (16 units) and Lamborghini Urus (11 units).

We add that most of the “fancy” cars fell on Moscow (116 units), St. Petersburg (21 units) and the Moscow region (19 units).
