But me, I stay: Pirelli refuses to leave Russia

Rumors about Pirelli’s possible departure from Russia turned out to be speculation: the company will continue to operate in the domestic market. This was stated by the President of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in the Russian Federation, Vittorio Torrembini.

The ‘shut up and keep working’ trend remains crucial for all importers doing business in Russia. Despite numerous statements by European and especially American politicians about the need to leave our market, many prefer to keep quiet and continue doing business.

The same was done by the Italians of Pirelli, who continued their entrepreneurial activities despite numerous sanctions and restrictions, as recently stated by the President of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in the Russian Federation, Vittorio Torrembini: “A real ‘witch hunt’ has unfolded in the West, aimed at companies that continue to operate in Russia. Many are silent and try to hide.”

Let us remind you that in addition to the dealer network and long-standing activities, Pirelli has two enterprises in Russia: in Voronezh and Kirov. The first was purchased by Pirelli Tire Russia in 2012 and production at the second was set up in collaboration with JSC Kirov Tire Plant. Pirelli tires are fitted as standard on the new LADA Vesta.
