The difference between the cost of a car and the financial possibilities of citizens to buy it is becoming increasingly important, according to the results of the latest social research. Fewer and fewer Russians can afford a new car – only 44% of them during the survey.
As Komsomolskaya Pravda reports, citing the results of its own survey, almost half of Russians do not have the opportunity to buy a car. 32% of respondents say they prefer to travel by public transport and therefore they are not considering buying a car at all. Another 14% of study participants reported that with such prices they can only get a car on credit – there is simply no way to save.
Another 7% said they could only buy a new car by selling their old one. And the remaining 2% admitted that they are currently saving money from their paycheck to upgrade their vehicle.
— It is now expensive to buy a new car, you can only buy a used one. But so much trouble with her is not for me. This is for men who understand and can solve many things themselves. “I prefer to walk, sometimes I use public transportation,” noted one survey participant.
