Mishustin ordered to check car prices

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin reminded at the next government meeting that the authorities continue to support the auto industry despite the sanctions. And at the same time he ordered to check the prices of Russian cars.

According to the Russian government website, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said that authorities will allocate another 15 billion rubles to the Industrial Development Fund. This money should help implement at least a dozen projects, including the production of domestic ABS and passive safety elements. According to Mishustin, in order for factories to function smoothly, it is necessary to localize the maximum number of parts for the automotive industry and control the final cost of domestic cars.

The government, in turn, will continue to provide “full support” to the Russian auto industry, including the supply of spare parts from abroad. Domestic ABS is already produced by the Kostroma company Itelma, which will begin production of an electronic stabilization system in December.
