According to Auto Moto und Sport, the company has gone bankrupt, the assembly line is being dismantled and employees will be laid off. As it turned out, the manufacturer could not overcome the crisis caused by excessive production costs and an increase in energy costs.
Apparently, the German concern will have to look for new manufacturers and suppliers of the infamous emblems and logos. The Chinese will probably come to the rescue. Otherwise, future Mercedes-Benz cars will lose the brand star with three rays on the hoods and grilles.
