About officials and people: what is behind the all-Russian expansion of the paid parking zone

The motorized Russians did not have time to really recover from the Ministry of Transport’s directive – to put everyone on a bus and introduce paid parking outside the Arctic Circle, as it began in Moscow. That is not surprising – after all, our golden capital has always been and will always be the pioneer and instigator of all the atrocities you can imagine and commit against motorists. Therefore, even before the “declaration of war” on private cars across the country, we received an “indexation” of parking fees and, it would seem, a new expansion of the paid zone as a bonus, as the AvtoVzglyad portal became known.

At the moment there is disturbing news from the Rostokino area. On November 29, an unscheduled meeting of city councilors took place there, where, unexpectedly for everyone, the introduction of paid parking was discussed. As local residents noted on social networks, no justification for the meeting was presented.

But the residents of Rostokino, who seriously pumped their skills in protecting free parking spaces, did not lose their heads and, anticipating the possibility of an embarrassing issue, prepared a collective appeal and submitted it to the council of municipal deputies. About 1,000 people signed the document and Maxim Kruglov, deputy of the Moscow State Duma, also came to the meeting to support people in their outrage over the imminent introduction of paid parking in the field of paid parking.

“Our district is part of the northeastern district of the city and is outside the third transport ring,” Olga Kravchuk, a resident of the district, a former municipal deputy, explained to the AvtoVzglyad portal. – At the previous convocation, independent deputies managed to block the introduction of new paid parking spaces: we listened to the strongly negative attitude of voters towards them and received hundreds of signatures “against”. But the new council, with the exception of the deputy Alla Khil, rudely ignored the opinion of the people …

It is not very clear how the people of Rostokinsk fight for their interests in such conditions, but, as they say, they do not intend to give up. Recall that a few years ago, when paid parking had just begun its march from the center to the outskirts of the city, one of the demands of motorists was protesting against this innovation (more than 20 rallies took place over several years in different districts) precisely to transfer the authority to coordinate the organization of new paid zones with municipal deputies. And during the last convocation, a significant part of the district deputies successfully resisted with all their might and did not agree on new “paid” addresses.

In the new convocation, everything has changed exactly the opposite. True, not among Muscovites, who still sincerely do not understand why every meter of asphalt in “sleeping bags” should be credited with the letter “P” with coins, but among the deputies. Who suddenly became sharp for paid parking, and almost without exception as if under collective hypnosis.

What such ill-considered reconciliation leads to is shown by a fresh example from Izmailovo, where a social facility traditionally fell under the rink of a paid zone and, accordingly, an increase in the number of parking and stopping bans on the street network – a local clinic on Sirenevy Boulevard (will open soon after repairs, it is also planned to organize a trauma center here). To which only 6 free parking spaces remained, and those – one and a half kilometers from the entrance, because there are no special standards for the number of parking spaces at social facilities or at what distance from them in nature.

But who cares about ordinary people? Some transport experts with a black eye advise going to chemotherapy by tram or taxi, others take children with cerebral palsy to the hospital by bicycle, still others even drive 50 million car owners to fifteen-year-old buses, which are also clearly in short supply in the regions.

It seems that behind the windows of ministries, departments, departments and all sorts of “scientific-analytical” institutions, there is a kind of completely different, understandable and orderly life, different from our everyday life. Where a state car with a personal courier arrives punctually, the state budget pays for parking and a flashing light cheerfully drives out the traffic jams in which ordinary people toil. Those who lost their jobs this year, throw themselves on a neighbor’s “bronnik”, treat with understanding that life has become more expensive and difficult, send loved ones to the front, do not go crazy with the news, high alertness, misunderstanding that there will be tomorrow and that – come or not in principle.

In such circumstances, these ordinary little gray men want at least basic domestic peace and stability. And also to feel that the state is not only a soulless machine that takes your loved ones to perform great deeds, but also something living and human, which, even at its transcendental peaks, consists mainly of human beings. Who also understand and feel everything that happens, and try to support you, little man. Only now, unfortunately, our transport officers occasionally provide the opposite. for what?
