Togliatti rests: Insurers told where in Russia they like LADA more

Cars that have come off the conveyors of the Volga Automobile Plant in several years, despite many years of expansion of foreign brands into Russia, still remain the most popular passenger cars in the country. The AvtoVzglyad portal provides interesting data about their distribution by region.

Oddly enough, most of the cars with AVTOVAZ logos were not registered in the homeland of the brand, in the Samara region, but in another region of Russia. Such data is published by the Russian Union of Motorcycle Insurers (RSA).

The maximum concentration of LADA in the regional parking lot was found in Bashkiria: 4.7% of local cars come from Tolyatti. Krasnodar Territory ranks second in this indicator in the country with a share of VAZ products at the level of 4.6%. The Samara region, where the brand’s cars are produced, took only third place with a score of 4.5%. Overall, LADA cars of all models occupy 18.8% of the national privately owned passenger car fleet. Thus, AvtoVAZ products currently remain the most common in Russia.

In second place in popularity in our country are the products of the Japanese company Toyota, accounting for 8.7% of the total private passenger car fleet. 7.4% of all Russian Toyotas are registered in Moscow. 5.4% of them “live” in the Primorsky Territory, and 4.8% in the Irkutsk region.

Cars from the Korean Hyundai company ranked third in terms of prevalence on domestic roads with a share of the vehicle fleet of 7.6%. Most of them are also in Moscow – 10.6%. The Moscow region accounts for 8.4% of the brand’s cars, and the Krasnodar Territory – 6%.
