The second concern, also bathed in the boundless favor of the authorities, was Volkswagen. Somehow it is not surprising that these beauties did the same as Renault – production is closed forever, service is suspended indefinitely, there are no spare parts and there will be none. In some ways, the Germans even surpassed the French. Already on their own initiative, they launched a global hunt for companies engaged in the “gray” export of their products.
Of course, Skoda also faded from Russia. Instead of a lost market, it is trying to break into Vietnam, where car sales are twice as low as Russia in the terrible year 2022, while the economy feels good. God bless you fellow Czechs!
The third company that fell in the company of (pardon the pun) unreliable partners was Mercedes-Benz. The brand left and left the factory (although it generally had no right). Production, authorized service, original spare parts and diagnostics are completely curtailed.
And now – about the cunning
Well, with these guys everything is clear. But what others think of themselves remains a mystery. For example, the eternal competitor of Mercedes-Benz – BMW, although it stopped production at Avtotor, retained warranty service and spare parts supply. All cars produced for the Russian market still have a factory warranty. Similar story with Mazda.
