The growth of the car fleet in the Russian Federation in 2022 was only 0.7% for obvious reasons. And the number of OSAGO agreements concluded fell to 40.3 million (assuming a total of 64.5 million units of transport equipment registered with the traffic police), which is 4% less than in 2021. And the trends towards refusing mandatory insurance will remain the same according to the 2023 results, according to most auto experts.

And what about the amount of the average benefit under the OSAGO policy? The Central Bank refrains from making public statements on this matter. Meanwhile, the collection of insurance premiums in 2022 increased by 15.9% compared to the same indicator in 2021, amounting to 273.5 billion rubles.
